A gag doujin series done by Naho Ooishi years ago under the alias Gichi (POWER LEVEL 69).
Back in her early days as a manga artist, she focused a lot on reworking Akira Toriyama’s original manga, but with a comedic twist. Instead of the serious dialogue, she replaced it with jokes, references, and funny gags, turning the story into a much more lighthearted and condensed version of what we all know. Think of it as a kind of early version of Dragon Ball SD, but with even more respect for Toriyama’s art style. The manga comes in four volumes plus a special chapter, each volume covering one of the big Dragon Ball Z arcs: Saiyans, Frieza, Androids, and Buu. It’s packed with humor and great artwork, and that’s probably why Shueisha brought Naho Ooishi on board as their official manga artist.
